Tehimpuls created the support service for innovative Spin-off and Start-up businesses to stimulate the public research-development-innovation centers and the publicly funded researchers to continue their projects and market their results. This service offers support with creating a Spin-off or further developing a Start-up.

This service is available due to the funding opportunities through the Sectoral Operational Programme – Increase of Economic Competitiveness - Priority axis 2.3: RDI Support for Enterprises., for Start-ups and Spin-offs. This program seeks to encourage the creation of Spin-offs or further developing Start-ups based on the research provided by universities or research institutes.

The service is destined to support the innovative activities of start-ups and spin-offs which add value to the patented or un-patented R&D results, which are applied by or transferred to those enterprises.

This service encourages and offers support for Spin-off projects that provide the possibility for publicly funded researchers to branch-off and finalize their research to obtain marketable results.

Eligible activities:

a. Creating and registering a business (only for spin-offs)
b. Research and development or purchasing R&D services
c. Purchasing consulting services for innovation regarding management, technical support, technology transfer, training, acquiring, protecting and marketing industrial property rights, using standards
d. Purchasing innovation support services regarding testing in specialized laboratories, quality control, testing and certification, market research
e. Informing beneficiaries: purchasing publications, subscriptions and access to certain databases
f. Activities that lead to the successful marketing of research/ know-how/ patent/ license or other industrial property rights:
- Acquiring IT applications, know-hows, patents, licenses, trademarks, etc.
- Purchasing IT instruments and equipment, as well as machines and equipment to market the results of the research, based on the real desired production volume
- Purchasing necessary raw materials to finalize the project
- Production activities for the product/process/technology/service
